All The Time (Yaoi Manga)
Sanpei is strict, abrupt, and far too serious for his own good. His friend and co-worker, Tani, is outgoing, flashy, and slightly airheaded. When Tani is forced to quit his job and take over the family business, he’s determined to take Sanpei back with him – as his wife! Sanpei’s liked Tani for a long time, but will the overly-serious Sanpei let Tani into his heart, or will he end up pushing Tani away before things go too far?

All The Time Yaoi Manga eBook Ikue Ishida
This is a story of two guys who find love just as one of them is moving away. Sanpei and Tani are co-workers, but personality wise, they couldn’t be more different. Sanpei is a hard worker, but he rarely smiles, and he is stern and aloof. And whilst he isn’t exactly disliked, he sure isn’t liked very much. Tani, on the other hand, is just as hard-working as Sanpei, but he is more easy-going, smiles a lot, and is generally well-liked because of this. Even though they’re completely different types, Sanpei finds himself looking more and more at Tani. Why is this? And then Tani suddenly quits because of family reasons, and what’s more, he confesses to Sanpei. What will Sanpei do now?Even though this story is not a comedy, it had bits that were very amusing. For instance, Sanpei really has no problem with discovering he is gay, but the moment it dawns on him that sometime in the (near) future he’s going to have actual sex with Tani, who is a *man*, he panics. As is usual with Ishida-sensei, the story is littered with little moments of humour. It’s things like these that really make the story interesting. Like Tani saying “Sanpei-chan” instead of “Sanpei-san”. And the first time Tani tries to make a move on Sanpei, Sanpei is so embarrassed, it’s “Instant Death x 100”, then it’s “Instant Death x 10,000”, then it’s “Instant Death x 100,000,000”. And later on, it’s “Instant Death and Murderous Rage x 1,000,000,000”. Again, as is usual with Ishida-sensei, there were numerous times I had to pause because something a character said or did made me laugh out loud.
I wish there were more background info on the characters, but there’s enough to let the reader get attached to them. And you really have to like a guy who says to his beloved, “We’ll be so happy together that our faces will be wrinkled with laugh lines.” As usual with Ishida-sensei, all the characters are drawn very manly, even the uke.
I’m giving this one a 4 rating, because it made me laugh, it made me want to know more about these characters, and it’s something I re-read (which I don’t do very often). Plus, it has made me want to read more from this mangaka.
